“HKS Inc. will collaborate with architectural firm Tilke GmbH on design plans for the $250 million racing Formula One United States Prix complex in Austin.
Dallas-based HKS recently designed the Cowboys’ stadium in Arlington.
The purpose-built track will be used to welcome back Formula One racing in 2012 after a five-year absence. It will combine 20 turns along a 3.4-mile tract and reach elevations of 133 feet.
Site plans still need to be approved by the city administration, but groundbreaking is expected to occur next month.” -HKS.com
